spring for engine lid


Sorry to Bother you. Just repainted engine lid for (Barbie Girl) 74 Beetle. Got the adjustment right just having trouble fitting the spring. and tricks . Feel a bit stupid that such a thing i cannot solve

don't know how other people do it
but iv'e always fitted the spring when fitting the engine lid
ie.put spring in place ,line up bolt holes,screw in bolts

yep fit the spring to the engine lid and push it into place and do up the attach screws. Better off with a mate to help u hold and push at the same time.
