Name that sensor
While finishing up cleaning the loom on my EJ20TT I discovered 2 sensors were not hooked up to the ECU.

The bottom was (which I think is the crank sensor) is hooked up and the top right one also (water temp sensor?)
I have no idea what sensors the top and bottom ones are on the left, anyone?
Thanks

Hi Tom,
I think the big one is the oilpressure sender and the small one in the background is the gauge sender for the water temp!
Cheers,
Jörg

I was thinking the water temp sensor was not hooked up as it took at least 10 times to get is started when cold and I had read that the cold start
sytem relied on the water temp sensor.

I agree with Jorg for both. The water temp sensor that IS hooked up is the one the ECU uses so that shouldn't be your cold start problem, the
unconnected one is only used for teh dash gauge.

The one at the front is oil pressure switch. The one with the plug on the right is the waterl temp for the computer and the tab next to it is the
water temp sender for the dash gauge. Your car will not know how hot or cold it is if the plug(water temp sensor) is not hooked up. You will not have
your oil pressure light on your dash hooked up either. I have also heard that the alt light needs to be connected to complete the charging circuit...I
think it happened to Jak when first wiring up.

I had the 2 connectors on the right hooked up while driving it, strange that it started so difficult when cold, any ideas on that? Boof, you are
correct about the dash light, I had the same problem at first. Funny is that with the stock engine my volt meter indicated 13V at te max with the
lights of and with the suby in it that was 14.7V

Is your idle up motor still operational?? I think it is hard to get a motor with a stock ecu to run engines with evrything different from air intake,
exhaust, flywheel weight, then take away pwr steer and aircond pumps, make the car lighter and change gearing and loads. I believe its beyond the
tunable parameters of the ecu. They still will work, although to what potential/contsant porblems.
