Hey,don't know of any really active clubs but I know four other Sydney blokes who get into it, a trip every few months. Check out Buggy Adventures web. You are right all the action seems to be in QLD. cheers clarkey.

Ok, I'm just near blacktown, so we're not far from eachother.

How offroad do you mean by offroad? Stockton, big 4wd tracks or just mucking around on dirt roads?

I work at Blacktown ( BBM Offroad Motorsport) and am building my buggy at Epping- still in the earlyish stages. Estimate I'll have it on the road in about 2 months.
J and S body ( for the moment)
Warm 1500 (also temporary)
Plenty o' bling...
Plenty of places to go- Kurnell, Stockton, Appin, Menai, Wattagens, Bargo, Lithgow, limeburners, asstd fire trails and so on....but dont kid yourself about following the big boys off road in the harder areas ( anything rated 'b minus' or higher.)
When my the cutting/weldings done we'll screw this together downstairs in the showroom...should look pretty good as a semi static display- something different.

If you have your buggy going by November there is the annual state of origin dune challenge at Stockton 18-20 November which brings people as far away as Queensland and Forster to the event. There are also several Sydney regulars who also attend. If not there is always another gathering easter long weekend. See the klubvw offroad callender for detals.. http://www.klubvwoffroad.org/

im trying to get her running healthy for the valla drive, has my axel bearing stuffed up and pierce the seal so fixing that oil leak now, as for the sump and rear main leak..i am pulling my whole car apart after valla to get a few things done =) including all the oil leaks then after that (estimating mid spring) it's circle work time :) cant wait - see you at valla anyways

...hopefully my 20L fuel tank is enough to get me from servo to servo
