got a link to it? love it see it.

BTW, What i like about this vid is the tightness of the course and the absolute precision of the driver. With a big wide track and 300+hp with a wide torque curve, you have more room for error. On the other hand, this is a little fiat twin cam with maybe 180hp (probably a thin powerband) and a very tight course. screw up one turn or feather of the throttle and it all goes south. You don't have a big smash, but you loose heaps of time. Skilled drivers can drive powerful cars well, that's true. But real geniuses can drive an underpowered car in it's sweet spot all day and win.

yes the D1 drifters do put on a good show but how many of them can drive a dirt road flat at night driving "blind" eg never having seen the road before the competition,as we do here in australian rallying? trust me it takes quite some self fear control to hold a car flat in third over a blind crest at night.the fiat display shows good car control without doing silly speeds, especially as that was a display stage more akin to a motorkana.D1 drifting is a crossover sport between circuit racing and rally sliding but does NOT take into account the fact that in ralling we are doing that AND listening to navigation notes and directions WHILST computing the road surface information and obvious hazards.:) ALL of it is great fun!!! lets get out there!!!

exactly, im not out to say which sport is harder to do, as im sure the drivers in the d1 circuit ARE good drivers as are wrc, f1, stock car drivers .etc.
