i've finaly got the exemption for VW beetles to have 7" rims.:bounce
its on a QT information bulletin 4/VES/09.90 it replaces the old exemption
this allows type 1,2,3 beetles to have 7' rims as long as the offset is +40 too +11mm

I don't mean to sound rude, but how do you know it's still current?

It's just that it isn't written in the transport regulations anywhere, and generally for it to be legal it needs to be in there.

Wes,
your not being rude if you dont ask youll never know:tu:
unfortunately there are alot of things that are legal but not in the regulations
eg. a truck and trailer by the regulations can only go 19m but as you know there are B doubles at 26m and also road trains. they run under guidelines
when i say QT information bulletin a certified engineer can get a hold of these
if you want i could try a get on electronically so i can post it on site

QT has not put this bulletin on electonically yet:cussing
read the bulletin today its all about different type of alternative rims and tyres, it then mentions that VW type 1,2,3 are exempt with the conditions stated above
i'll try and scan it when i get a chance
