i replace hoses and filter every year
cheap insurance
good clamps are a must too
just dont put the filter anywhere in the engine bay

Why would you replace fuel lines every year and what cost would it be? I know about replacing the filter each year, but what hoses do you replace?

i'm just paranoid altho i just realised coz my car was off the road for a fair while the hoses are nearly 2 years
ive just noticed when i removed motors or fuel tanks the ends of the lines starting to perish at abit over 1year old
that was vw german braided stuff to
but cost doesnt bother me to much as its cheap insurance and also i just have a 20m roll of genuine holden fuel injection hose which i scored when i
was working at the garage

With all that spare hose Joel, I'd do it..
I thought the german braided hose was as good as it got..
it usually lasts a few years...
I've found that "normal" oil, fuel or vacuum hose bought from Your local friendly Repco Autobarn Autoone etc doesn't last all that long...
easiest way is to check it out at every oil change...
most hoses can crack near the surface but NOT leak...
but its then time to replace it so it doesn't leak...
and hose clamps are a MUST ...
same as Fire extinguishers.......
Fuel filter should be attached to something and shouldn't float about... IMHO...

Thanks for the info, I'll make sure it's all clamped up properly. Haven't got the fire extinguisher yet;better get on to it.
