SubyNotch

Hey guys, just thought id let you know the site is back up. I need to do some updates but the old stuff is still there.
FYI
'www.subynotch.com' works
'subynotch.com' doesnt work
Right now, you need the www in there.

still working on that part.

Good to see it back up Ryan.... You'll be happy to hear that my bro's EJ20TNotch now has 9 years on the build up and is still running strong.... And yes, the sound is still awesome! So have you had any issues with the car to date?... Hows the cabin temps with the rad pipes running through there?.... Im about to start another subi conversion (number two for me), this time in a Notch and I was thinking of running them as you did.... My bro has them under the pan and he feels the temps are lower because of it.... But my car will be very low, so this is the reason I ask.... Plus your install is very neat too.... Have you found the rear subframe moving much with the car? Or have you fitted solid housing/body mounts?.... Im thinking I will be taking yet another leaf from your book and following 'swingaxle subframe' path (convrted to IRS of course), as I feel this method would hold the transaxle much more securely.... What sort of engine support have you added?... Loads more questions, but for another time....

Very nice car !

I read that you use an aftermarket ecu .
Did you need an extra modul to fit the coils ?
Or did the ecu firered the coils directly ?

Sorry for my english ! I hope you know what i mean ....

Megasquirt is now able to control ignition with megasquirt and spark. From what ive read, you can do it without using the Ford Edis, and just some ignitors now.

But what i did required me to use the Ford Edis ignition. I used the ford toothed wheel on the crank, along with the Ford coil pack. This meant i had to remove the Coil on plug subaru setup. Megasquirt controls all this and is fully adjustable.

Now thats handy to know.... I am in the process of fitting MS to my stroker aircooler, but I run the OG Subi ECU's on my Bus and Notch... If I feel the need to run these engine harder, MS might be an option there...
