I thought the join in the swing axle boot was supposed to be in the horizontal position, the rest looks great.

Very nice, i have welded a plate from the torsion bar to the front gear box mount to strengthen that area and also added a 3 bar kafer cup bar.

Work must be slow if you have time to work on your car.
By the way thanks for the great work on the intercooler.

thanks for the tips on the boots, and cheer's for the nice comments.
i should be starting on the brakes and coil overs soon ..
i had a friend help out that doesn't know to much about vw's,and since that is my dumby gearbox i haven't bothered to fix them. i might offend
him, then i will have no more slave labour to help me out on those late lonley nights.
as for the gearbox oil cooler, gearbox and diff in one . create alot of heat that is not needed in your engine bay.the bearings and gear's need all
the help they can get.
i haven't tried it on a vw as yet ,but i have done alot of these styles of set ups on drift &circut cars and it work's quite well .(lifespan of
bearings ,gears etc.etc)
hi steve, you can only work on other peoples projects for so long before you get the shit's.but it pay's the bills so i can't complain to
much, nobody listens. good to see it is all coming together for you.next time your out my way can you drop in, i need to pic your brain.
down sharon.

There was also a VERY hot looking white Beetle parked behind it - a real head turner. Is that yours too?

What happens with the gear shift linkage end of things with the box sitting 2" higher now? I'm keen to see how you tackel that as i'm thinking of
doing the same thing to allow a set of 18's under my car...
Cheers,

If you raise the tranny around 1.25" to 1.5" you can use an early Bus(211) nose cone and keep the shift rod in the tunnel.
