those straps never break.. i have used all sizes of straps for years.. if you do it properly .. don't use frayed straps... even the $20 straps work

yea the mid 90s passat estates certainly wasnt one of vws most attractive models
sad thing is thats probably one of the UKs most solid bays LOL

the green passat is up to 1994, a 92 model looking at the plate, then they "face lifted" them slightly, then in 1996 they totally re-vamped them
with full on computers n stuff,
i had a 96 1.9 turbo diesel, fuel is expensive in the uk so i used to run mine on used veg oil, clean it, dry it, the free fuel for me, yippee!!!
they are a very good car, galvo bodys, no rust, lots of speed and towing power!!
my 96 model pastit was the old one not the "new" one
