PLEASE EXCUSE ME WHILE I VENT...
You know what I really hate?? I really hate it when people cut in front of me, cut me off or just come right on out into the round about that I am
going around becaue I drive a beetle! Why is it that people just see a beetle and think thate just becuase they drive a new piece of plastic they can
do this to me?? I am sure I am not the only person who has had this happen to and quite fankly I am sick and tired of having to take evasive action
because of other peoples ignorance. I am a road user too, I pay my taxes so therefore I beleive that I am entitled to drive along without my life
being put in danger unnecessarily simply because of the type of car I choose to drive...

I'm after the four bolts that hold the torsion bars (ball joint), to your frame head. I've 'borrowed' them from my farm buggy, but

Or change lanes in front of you and then go realy slow !
And then there is work, i work in a restaraunt...anyway
Ppl come in and i say "go for it guys, u can sit anywhere u like" Then they go and proceed to sit on a table for 2 or 6 Ppl and there is
only 2 of them. THINK ABOUT IT !!!!!! then they get annoyd they have to move. OR they sit on the only dirty table in the whole restaraunt !

Yeah I have noticed that when driving herbie that people leave the lights like they bet $1000 on who would win a race between them and Herbie, I mean
really do they think herbie is going to stand up on his back wheels and pass them like they are standing still?,
I have found the colour of the car is what makes the most difference as far as no pespect on the road, people just wander along with their mind on
anything else other than what they should be concentrating on. You can really tell who is a space cadet on the road, the ones who look straight at
herbie like he is a white holden when everyone else around is excited that they just saw herbie, you know those people should be removed from their
vehicles till they are prepared to wake up.:cry

i guess being a girl and driving a beetle may attract some unwanted attention, but imagine being a girl in a pink beetle on her L's.
whilst teaching my sister to drive recently in her pink '60 she made a small mistake by pulling into a right hand turn only lane wen she wanted
to go left. so she put on her right blinker and went around the corner with the rest of the traffic.
then a grotesquely obese woman in a very rundown VK commadore pulled up alongside my sister's window and screamed "learn how to %#$*en
drive!"
plus some more obsenities before planting it and speeding off in her lump.

I just love the tailgater. The one that rushes up behind you [even when you're in a queue of traffic], and just has to get passed you. Then makes
an erratic move just to get passed you. Then fun starts when you casually roll past them at the next set of traffic lights.....and just happen to pull
into the line of traffic in front of them again. Would I do that???:P

My excuse for temporary loss of sanity, is the retiree with the new 4X4 battle truck, towing the 40 ft caravan.
I visit the brother & mother in Bundaberg on a fairly regular basis, this dictates the use of the Bruce Hiway once you are north of Brissie, the
passing opportunitys on this road are very limited, and the roads department engineer's in QLD have in all their wisdom given us passing lanes
that are about all of 500 metre's long!
This is the typical senario for me in my 70hp Kombi, sit behind a caravan for miles on end doing speeds ranging from 60-80kmh they never seem to be
able to hold a constant speed, and the old Kombi dosent have the balls to overtake, unless I have a good run up and about a kilometre or more to do it
in, but guess what happens when you come to an overtaking lane, grandpa decides to crank up the 4.5lt turbo deisel, to 100-110kmh, for the duration of
the dual lanes, while I am beside him, running flat strap trying to pass, running out of lane space, then he pulls back in front of me again to resume
his snails pace, even if I do get past, it is not long before I am trapped behind another, mobile block of flats.
I really think that it is about time that the government dose something about these travelling roadblocks. I think it is a bit rich that a truck
driver has to serve a form of apprenticship in the form of having to hold diferent grades of licence's for a period of time before being able to
upgrade to the next level, so he can drive an articulated vehical, on the other hand a car licence holder can go out and buy a caravan, the weight and
length of witch, is only dictated by the towing capacity & weight of the tow vehical. Most of these same people have very rarely driven on country
roads if at all! a four wheel drive and a 20ft caravan is in my opinion a heavy combination.
There should be a compulsory course, including classroom theory, and on road tuition, by an experianced & trained operator, resulting in a
certificate of competency for the trailer owner.
Motorcyclists & truckdrivers have to do it, so should they.
I hope I haven't offended any body by these comments, but being in the transport industy, I have seen accsidents that could have been avoided
if the people involved were better educated in the operation of their combination's
I am not tarring all caravaners with the same brush, I know some responsible and very competent operators, some of witch have attended seminars
& courses voluntarily, but there are a lot who are downright dangerous, not only to themselves but others as well.

my problem is with the 4x4 utes in the blue mountains, the type 3 don't like lapston hill so i tend to take it easy on the old girl but as i get
passed that all those clowns in the 4x4's laughing at the speed i was doin to get up the hill then get the sh!#s when i take off through the
corners faster then there high body roll red neck s!@# boxs:cussing so they come up to me just before i turn off the great western highway put on
there bloody high beams and hit there horn as i turn off, if i wasn't driving something i loved i'd almost be tempted to p!$$ them off by
pulling back in front off them.
Blood VW haters, i feel sorry for them that they have to envy the dub like this.
i'm tellin ya its an ongoing battle.

I think its a Sydney thing as in Melb VW's are pretty trendy and the Vics are more nicer. Dont worry i predict next year will be the year of the
VW and heaps of people will have one and people will be nicer on the road.
I hate Sydney drivers, just cos they see a dub they have to overtake u or pull out.

Trucks on Pennant Hills Rd and the F3 that decide to overtake each other....even to the point of all three lanes taken up by trucks overtaking each
other doing 20kmph!!!
I think there should be rules within City precincts that forbid multi axle trucks from overtaking each other....that they should all remain in a nice,
courteous queue! Also trucks shouls be banned from peak hour.....or at least from 4pm to 7pm!!!

I'm afraid that we all aren't as civilised as we think we are. Some of us still use the "survival of the fittest" mentality when
using our roads. The rudness on our roads is increasing from day to day. I don't want to expose myself to half of the populations wraith but the
women out there seem to be getting worse than the men.
I think that we offen forget how dangerous a car can be. We get complacent as we drive our cars every day and nothings happens to us, right. Well one
day we may be wrong.

BYRONBUG, give us commodore drivers a break! Sure there are some bloody morons out there, i have whitnesed many of them in action, but I own a VR
commodore and i reokon im a considerate driver. Sure i only have half a volkswagen  , but still, spare a though for us good guys getting roped in with the stereotypical bunch of 'EVIL' commodore drivers!....

I'll tell you something I really noticed driving in California, you could be doing 15 mph faster than the speed limit and still get passed by
heaps of people doing 40 mph faster than the limit and its scarey but even with people cutting each other off and being real dickheads there was no
road rage abuse at the lights or anything like that.
Because no-one knows which speeding reckless Motorists also carry a loaded gun.
Which makes me feel a lot better when I come home and can hear people shouting at each other without the fear of getting shot.
The big trailers on holiday seem to be pulled by supercharged V10 pickups and are hard to even catch let alone be held up by.
If you have enough power to pass anything you get your own set of abusing motorists, I a few years ago was coming home from sydney in My Very well
sorted Bridgeport mazda RX3 and like said before everyone raced through the dual lane and crawled through the rest so I {and I am not overly proud of
it} used the power, "the force was with me", I pulled into the far right Lane which I could see was clear for a long way and while all the
others were struggling in the normal cars I just pulled out and opened it up, I remember counting 16 vehicles in total that were passed putting me in
front of all of the frustrating traffic and put me at near space shuttle speeds. later after stoping for lunch I was caught up to by some of the 16
who abused me for ..... I am not really sure what, probably for jumping the frustration que I didnt cross anyone off or hold anyone up so I think
people just like to shout at other people.
Why is it that In a nightclub a persons personal space is reduced to inches or nil but when they get in their car it swells up to 30 feet in any
direction. What funny creatures we are.

you know what else is funny when you are sitting at the front of the lights and you look in your rear vision mirror and see impatient people thinking
sh1t its a volkswagen and pulling into the next lane then blowing the hell out of them then when you pull up at next set of lights next to them they
look stunned they are mostly ford drivers!!!!!
