I wanna a bare metal respray on my 21 window. Changing the colour too. It is current various shades of green an white but I want to go black over
antique cream.
Looking for a good painter in Vic.
Not sure of the benefits of 2pac or acrylic.
Lost in world I dont understand.
Any help greatly appreciated. |

HOLY JESUS MAN
you gotta reduce that avitar!!
All depends - rubber replacement might be as dear as the spray job!
You got ALL the rust out?
IF you have then 2 pak it - if not just acrylic blow over.
Rob K - aka splitbus? would be the best ont to talk to. I am sure he will anser soon
By the way - NICE bus man! Deserves a nice spray!
Is it a Deluxe. You seem to have all the trimmie bits!

Have a look at some of the info written in the 'acrylic or two pak' thread
http://www.aussieveedubbers.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=5980
You can spend between $3000 for a cheaper job and $12000 for a more deluxe job

How much for the leetle gerl?
Jas,
I love deluxes but gees they are expensive to do this sort of work on!
Bare metal suggest you want a *good* job. Assumes you want to paint inside and outside so you don't have a colour clash.
Work to be done includes
(1) strip (disassemble) car in and out
(2) bare metal (outside)
(3) repair rust and previous bodges (if it the cleanest bus in the world it will still invariably need rockers as a min, prob more)
(4) paint
(5) All new seals, headliner (could wait), sunroof cover - get on the WCM or WW website and add up what ALL the seals for a deluxe cost, plus add
freight, plus add duty - have someone standing by with the paddles.
To pay someone else to do all of it and pay paint/parts? $20 - $25k (prob $25kish end when I really think about it). Could potentially save $5kish
by doing disassembly/assembly yourself..

74l - yes: Jesus is Holy and walked on earth as a man - you just forgot to mention that He is also God.
