EJ22 Oil Leak

Hi all,

I have completed the EJ22 in my buggy, and the most things sorted except that oil is coming out my air filter:!:
If on a short run, things go great, but whenever I seem to drive it down the highway, for a longer period, oil gets sucked up the breather pipes and dumped out the air filter.

I have just replaced the PCV valve, and it is stil doing it, what else could it be??

From the top of the crank to the intake (biggest hose)
The two tappet covers joined together, then up to the intake. The other hose, isplumbed into the "tappe cover" hose.

I think, im at work and trying to do thsi from memory

Will check tonight and take a photo

I had a look at mats car, seems to be coming up out of the crank breather. Which tells me that the case is being presurised which can be caused by rings gone. Any other ideas as to why the crank is pressuriseing?

We might put a compression tester on the old girl I think

if you have the lines wrong them you will pump presure into your own sump.

- Remove the hoses to your tapet cover and go for a drive, see what happens
- You need to keep your case plumbed down stream of your AFM and have your oil cap on tight. Tappet covers are just emmision crap and can be bypassed.
- EJ's run quite a bit of crank presure stock, pull ya oil cap off and watch it die ....

Take some pics
