I wouldn't be using a light weight winch like that on my Kombi thanks.
If you go it alone which you do quite often by the sound of it i would be looking for a genuine Turfa hand winch

yeah i got a bad habit of running away from home and i've dug
myself out of places before but sometimes a metre or two of ground might be all you need...so i'll go with Brad on this one

ahah! yeah that's how you could get caught on ebay...or one of the ways...that is the advantage of a tirfor type winch...the cable can be as long as
you like
