Yeah, I Know... Sold manx to build carport, Bought baja for transport and some fun, Carport is built now, Maybe buy another manx coz the price may be
right and I miss my beach buggy!
It would be a very long term project though. And hey, I cant just let a genuine manx pass me by?
I may have a look at it on the weekend...
Any thoughts on the rego situation though? You would have rego'd at least half a million buggies in your time yeah?

Yeah she thought it was a good idea?? I dunno why, I don't even think it's a good idea... but i'll do it anyway! Isn't that how we all ended up
here? I dunno much about the condition, He couldn't tell me much. He told me it was IRS but it looks like a swinger to me. He said it runs, Re-wired,
Re-painted. If i'm gonna make it a long term project i'll Probably put a new pan under it anyway, I have got an IRS pan out at daves house I was
gonna use for the baja eventually but if i get this i'll use it. Re-build the engine, tweak it up a little... Nothing serious.
I already asked him if he's home on saturday coz i'm going up that way too, and he's not. Thanks for the offer though. I'll send you a message
when i'm gonna look if you wanna come, Thats if i do... What do you think $$?

i think the price is on the good side of ok and yes you can see the spring plates in the pic irs as andrew said the codes will seal or sink the
deal
"tweak it up a little... nothing serious" thats what we all convince ourselves,
its mass insanity

It is hard to say from the photo's whether or not it is IRS as the height it is sitting could be either with nowheel tuck from a swinger.
As for the price , i think it is to high as it is unfinished , unregistered , engine unknown , it might have a shiney paint job but hows the important
bit , the pan.
I realise you sold your old one for around 17k but that was lucky i believe . As i could only get 12k for my old car which sorry i believe was the
better car and then it only resold for 8200 and that was with 2 sets of wheels , webers etc etc etc so to cut a long story short i don't believe this
car is worth in more than 5k tops.
From what you also say about probabley doing a complete rebuild any way why not look for some thing cheaper ( they are out there ) and start from
scratch yourself , atleast you'll know whats behind each screw bing and bob and learn plenty a long the way. the big plus of doing it this way is you
don't have huge pay out right now , you probabley get to keep the Baja while the build continues and you don't end up like many of us , buying
someone elses problems and then throughing most of it away anyway.
This is my 2 cents worth anyway.
Give me aring if you want to talk about it. Andrew

Paul had a look at it last weekend. It's an old George from Custom Offroad IRS conversion. Complete with his modified rear arms. Body is hacked up to
clear the IRS but not repaired and paint is not as good as it looks.
So he didn't buy it.

Good to know, I was not going to buy it from ebay anyway. I was gonna offer him no more than 5 if it didn't sell on ebay. I think i got so much for
my buggy because it looked real shiney and it sold to a car "collector" not a vw "enthuisest". The guy it sold to was a millionaire who wanted a
manx coz he saw one in an old movie driving along a beach. He just wanted to add another to his massive collection of cars, and didn't care what it
cost, And yeah i can guarentee your car was better. If i was put in a situation where i could have mine or yours i would have chose your car.
Thanks for the advice though, If the report from someone who has seen it is not real good then i think i'll give it a miss. Might get another one
day.
