Blue Flame Baja

Well I've had this since last year, but now the build has started in ernest.

http://www.manxgallery.org/gallery/albums/album391/100_1598.sized.jpg

First task was replace the bent balljoint beam, while I was there I cut and turned it as well

http://www.manxgallery.org/gallery/albums/album391/100_2495.sized.jpg

I fitted up new discs on the front and overhauled the calipers, and I've also setting up a VN commodore rear disc setup

http://www.manxgallery.org/gallery/albums/album391/100_2398.sized.jpg

Then things took a turn for the worse......
I picked up a lift kit

http://www.manxgallery.org/gallery/albums/album391/lift_kit.sized.jpg

I then decided that since I'm pulling off the body to install the lift kit I might as well add this as well....

http://www.manxgallery.org/gallery/albums/album391/100_3795.sized.jpg

Now if I go to all this trouble, then it would be silly not to convert it over to IRS....then this comes home..

http://www.manxgallery.org/gallery/albums/album391/chassis.sized.jpg

So this is where it sits after this weekend

http://www.manxgallery.org/gallery/albums/album391/100_3800.sized.jpg

I've also got this to go in the rear, and then a Kombi gearbox and 2L type 4 as well......

The kids don't need any room to play in the back yard anyway :D

Well 50mm is the largest lift kit you can go in QLD and this includes 4wd....lifting the body up gives more clearance for bigger tyres.

It also stiffens up the chassis heaps
