Whats the oldest Type 3 known of in OZ?


Just wondering who else has got a real early Notch or Square???

Mine's July '63, VIN# 216084.......

Looks fairly schmick,does it have the pushbutton dash,I service one that is very original,paintwork is horrible but basically the body is solid and original. The lady who owns it inherited it from her mother.

Chrome strip has been added later on;)

As have the TS badges (just because I like them), overiders and later wheels.

Ah well, here goes Steve! What a nice early Notch. Yes, the bonnet strip is from the fully imported S model, 64-65 only. The Australian "Twin S" didn't have any of these things. The bumper overriders are standard on up to 63 models ( all German produced and imported as far as I know) as is no side chrome strips with the higher side parkers than the 64 on imported S models. The 64 on model produced here had the side chrome strips without the side parkers etc. Good to see that the pushbutton switch has survived.

Not too sure but my old wagen was supposed to be a 1962.Had a new floorpan but engine number was 0123523

Do you have any pics?? If the engine no. is correct to the car that puts it at November 1962.
