| Sizzling days are here again - run cool with Hoodjax

Hoodjax is a decklid stand-off device for Beetles (all years) that allows the top of the engine lid to be propped open, letting in plenty of fresh
cool air for maximum engine cooling and performance. Thanks to the use of quick-release R-clips, Hoodjax is quickly and easily removed for security
and for driving/parking in cold or rainy weather, or for ‘stock’ appearance. Ideal for rats or sleepers! Hoodjax is especially ideal for pre-1971
Beetles without factory engine lid vents.

Hoodjax has been proven over the last 15 years to assist the performance and cooling of big-bore, stroker and turbo engined Beetles. Hoodjax helps
deliver maximum power and reduces the 'hot idle' stumbles caused by high engine bay temperatures.

Installation is DIY and takes around 15 minutes. It requires two 10mm holes to be drilled in your engine lid’s hinge C-brackets, plus the use of
some other simple hand tools. Instructions are provided.

After installation, Hoodjax can be removed or replaced in seconds, in your driveway or by the roadside. A secondary benefit is that your engine lid
is now quickly removable for easy engine bay access during servicing.

Cost is $100 including postage to Australia. Come to my place and I'll fit 'em for ya!

I have always thought it would be nice to be able to pull a pin and push these back in so in the rain you can close the lid.
