any advice's welcome....

so after a bit of constant research, and reading (and trying to follow) what some
of you guys have to say.....
unlike beetles, karmann's are harder to find and more importantly trace their origins.
so forgetting usa imports, and with the data available about australian delivered cars,
how does one go about or what should one look for, when investigating a
non-australian, but early delivered Karmann??
ie. (maybe a silly question but....) an early delivered Karmann would be tracable given
it's australian vin/engine numbers were still matching, but what about records for early
imports...?

any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.....
