headlights removal for restoration job
Hi All
VERY new to the VW family.
I am currently restoring a 1974 Beetle that has been restored (very poorly) before.
No care has been taken in the presentation or the spray job.
I have removed both rear guards with no problems but I am having huge dramas trying to get the headlights out of the front guards so I can start the
"clean up".
I cannot completely undo the 3 screws that holds the lens in.
Is there a trick I should know???
I sure would appreciate any clues.
Thanks

Remove the bottom screw only, then lift up from the base and it well unclip the top of the headlight

It worked tyvm
Now all I have to do is clean up the disaster underneath the front guard.
Flaking paint, grease and dirt, cracks, horrific bog work....
It is my intention to sell this '74 when she is finished.... alll money raised after costs will be dontated to Womens Breast Cancer Research.
Hence the "Strike Me Pink colour.
