Speedway Ramp Racing

Hiya everyone
newbie to the forums and VW's here.

Have a type 3 fastback i'm going to setup for a ramp race.
Would like abit of info on the weak points of it's suspension.
There are usually 4 ramps around the speedway track, approx. 400-500mm high.

All help would be appreciated.
Also after a type 3 floor pan in SA please.

Cheers

Muz

offroad suspension I'd say. more than one of those ramps will kill it unless you have a landing ramp too.

First thing to break will be the leaves in the front end. I have no personal experience, its just my bet. With the amount of front overhang a type 3 has the bodywork might soften the blow a little on the first jump.

I wonder if adapting a baja style King & link 'pan set-up for heavy duty off road use would be better?
I know the fasty body won't be a direct bolt on, but I can't imagine it will be the only major mod you'll be doing.
