oil seal replacement

i did a 440km round trip to dalby today in my kombi and when i got home....YAY, the main oil seal behind the cooling fan on my T4 2 litre is gone, can it easily be replaced in the car?? (82 van)

I have a haines manual for it, but its about as useful as just going at it with a hammer and seeing how it turns out.

its not too bad, it only lost a little oil, not even enough to bother toping the oil up, but its kinda messy and im wondering if i should do it before Dubs by the humble pie this weekend or not (if i can even get a seal in time).

'59 or Kombi?....feeling confused

It can be done in situ,Remove the plastic cover, fan & fan hub (which is on a taper)flip the seal out,fit the new one & Bobs your uncle.
