BROKEN SPARKPLUG IN HEAD!
Well I'am a dick!
I have snapped the spark plug in the head (see photos) and not happy.
I guess this means the head is useless? Or can someone assist me to get it out.
Bright side is a twin port head with twin carbs....but prefer to keep her with orig heads at this stage if possible.
Please help me !!

how steady with a drill are you?
you could drill to the size just below the original thread then run a tap down it.

this reminds me of a mates misfortune: he was putting in th oil pressure sender to a 2l bus engine and torqued it a bit tight and snapped it off
(lesson one buy German only) next he tried to use an small easy out, no joy. So one size bigger, no joy again so up in size again and crack, a large
crack in the case Engine out, totally stripped down to bare block then
off to be welded.
The moral of the story and my 2c is there are no shortcuts when your in this situation, drop the engine, pull the head are remove the plug from the
combustion chamber side. Might also pay to pick up a torque wrench.
Good luck Stephen

I use an ezyout with a bolt welded to the side of it,this has not let me down in over 30 years, flood the thread with wd40 or similar and drive the
ezyout in then use a spanner on the bolt. The problem is that the spark plug lets go at the machine mark if they are overtightened. Good luck Les ( I
haven't had to remove a head so far)sorry barls there is no room to drill.Use Bosch plugs!

That is unfortunate but u can certainly get it out without damaging the thread in the head assuming it is fine still. Any machinist will be able to
extract it easily enough if you can't.
Some people really tighten the crap out of their spark plugs maybe hoping to maximise compression...truth is they do not need to be super tight to
create an effective seal.
When you fit new ones use Bosch or NGK (NOT champion as they have differently cut threads that can strip threads in aircooled vw heads easily) and do
not overtighten.
Use the recommended torque settings or turn until you feel it start to crush the gasket on the plug and then 1/8 -1/5 of a turn or till it feels
snug.
That's what I do anyway...
