Has anyone ever gone to the local shops and whilst browsing looked up and standing about a metre away is your ex?
And all you can do apart from feeling physically ill and disgusted from the thought that at one point you allowed him to be a very small part of your
life, is attempt to contain your laughter because you can't understand what the attraction was? Looking at this person thinking, was he really that
fat when we were together and what the hell were you thinking woman?!
It was quite hilarious to say the least.

No, I'm talking about the buildng which generally has a neon sign flashing "GYM" outside. Which usually houses treadmills, bikes, cross trainers

kids these days.
to be honest there is only one girl that i was with that i didn't stay on reasonable terms with afterwards (given a bit of time of course) and i was
a total nutjob from about 14 till after i met my wife, so i don't get the whole bitter thing.
i guess i was old fashioned in that i based my relationships on friendship, everything else after that just added to the fun.

Foxy if it was not for the fact yr in Queensland i would have thought you were my ex! How come you become Gym junkies after the split? My ex would not
dye her hair blonde as she said it was like mutton dressing up as lamb and maybe used gym a few times in 21 years of marriage. Now she is a blonde
with a very strict excersise routine. Still my new woman is younger even if I do have a bit of a spread now :-)

Getting back to the original topic I emigrated so that this sort of thing wouldn't happen but about 5 years ago (I work in a resort in Noosa) I was
checking some guests in and there standing behind them was a girl that I had left for my present wife (I use the term 'girl' very loosely here). My
wife and I had been married for about 16 years at the time but when I had left this 'girl' she was a small petite, very attractive 22 year old but
by now she had bulked up a fair bit but even so she was still the same underneath the trouble was it was so far underneath I could barely reckognise
her. We chatted and reminisced but I was so happy when I got home to my wife. One big downer was that it destroyed a lot of memories as it's now very
hard not to think of the 'girl' as she is now rather than all those years ago. So definitely emigrate as it's the safer way to go.
