So what's everyone on here listen to then?

Just wondered if any of us share musical tastes?

Besides the whole dance music thing which i've been doing for the past 5 years or so there's also a heap of bands i like too.

I can categorise them into 2 sections though....there's stuff i totally LOVE and are always on my playlist, and other bands that i'll listen to if i fancy a change!

Never off my playlist are:

The Get Up Kids
Morrissey
Mineral
Explosions In The Sky
This Will Destroy You

And i dip in and out of:

Snow Patrol
The Killers
The Editors
The Tragically Hip
Radiohead
Placebo
Rival Schools

Sorry if the thread has been done a million times (usually has!)

SKA SKA SKA

plus like everything else. I honestly can't think of a genre i hate. I have old school rock next to gangsta rap next to dance next to reggae next to thrash next to the interesting mashup that is skacore (hardcore ska, a lol-worthy adventure). I have 14 000 songs stretching over 32 days though so, you know, room for all

Shit, I must be getting old. Not that I am a big music listener, but out of the above I have only heard of Radiohead and Placebo.

I still like Cold Chisel, Beach Boys, AC/DC, The Angles, Meatloaf, Elvis (that will get some comments), Choir Boys, Ice House and more.

I guess its what you grow up with :-)

The lead guitarist for new empire went to school at my school then came back as a media teacher for a while. Nice bloke. Caught my bus. And as for supporting local small bands we can all name some small obscure bands that no one has ever heard of. Or you can come out of the closet and admit how much you love listening to Miley

From bob marley (the wailers were ska before reggae and ska formed reggae common misconception yadda yadda) up to reel big fish and everything in between. Not so into fish anymore though. Big D and the Kids Table are a good example of some good modern stuff (try a solng called noise complaint). Never heard half way out. Will look them up when my internet is uncapped
