Type 3 pancake into 1972 super

I'm sure this has been discussed before but I could find no trace of any information. As the heading says, I'm wondering if a late type 3 pancake engine will fit into a late 1972 Super engine bay with out much modification.

Any help, websites or links would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Tnate

it would be more like making the bug fit the engine

its the same engine underneath just put all the bug tinware on and get a conversion dipstick
even if you do fit it as is it wont last long as the cooling fan will be sucking in all the heat of the exhuast and heads.

in a type3 its sealed off and pulls in fresh cool air from outside the car

Thanks Joel,

I had a feeling it would be the same base underneath the shroud, but just wanted to make sure before I started pulling everything apart.
