Hello All,
I'm new to Blogging and about to start restoring my type 3 Fastback, very glad I found this site, seems like a fountain of ideas and knowledge, nice to be part of it.

Here are a couple of pics of the project.

That's Glue residue from an old carpet not rust, thankfully.

Yes Pretty much, most of it is there and the motor is a really good one, it's been regularly serviced by an expert so that at least is a comfort, I need stuff like badges some door skins a carpet and I just took out the seats, don't think they are standard but they are on the original rail system, I didn't think they put buckets in the type 3's this one is a 1970 model, 1600 TL.
Photo of seat here maybe you can identify it?

Hi and welcome! Looks to be a nice solid foundation for a resto. I happen to have a '72 fasty donor car in the backyard here in Adelaide that i have been pillaging for bits for my squareback. There are plenty of parts here that will be of no use to me eg; rear glass, decklid etc. Let me know if there's anything i can help you with.
