Just so that we all understand each other here and no offence is intended to be given to those who have posted here earlier.

Be careful of the word Manx and how it is used.

To the general public all dune/beach buggies are Manxes, wheras in reality only a very few are Manxes.

There are genuine Maxes, cloned Manxes and copies of the Manx.

In this thread we have someone who wants to buy a Manx, someone who is selling a Manx and someone else who is selling a certified genuine Manx.

The buyer has not specified if a genuine Manx is wanted, or if a clone or a copy will do.

Generally speaking and all things considered to be equal a genuine Manx is worth considerably more than a Manx clone which is worth more than a Manx copy.

Be aware of all of that and be careful what you want and what you are prepared to pay for it.

except that a genuine manx is generally very thin in the fibre glass and also very old so usually many cracks etc ,
sometimes a clone may be better

Depends on when they were made, my manx has a lot thicker body than MickH' manx yet they are both genuine Australian manx bodies.

I've dealt with around fifteen genuine manx's and all were thick

the ones produced by Radical custom buggies in sydney were thin.
I've had a couple of genuine manxes in the past and only 1 was thin.
