that was on ebay fairly recently ya?

if it was that one then its a 68 model run but had the 197 chassis number from memory which is why they say its 67

its an identical twin to a mates bug thats why i remember it

Two new headlamps and it will look like new...

not too far away from Scone.... lol
68 model beetles were made in the VW production year which was 1st August 1967 to 31st July 1968 = 1968 model

so, as far as VW is concerned its a 1968 model...
check the identification plate behind the spare wheel.
the chassis number is stamped under the rear seat...

Engine should be a 1500 single port HO series..
Does it have disc brakes on the front??
1968 models did have in Australia...

Yours has extractor exhaust system similar to mine..

From what I remember 67 had one year only round door push button, 68 had four lugs.
