Hi all

Hi to all of you veedub nuts out there!!
I am in SA and am considering (quite seriously) about building a baja bug, I fell in love with the beetle about 15 years ago (at the tender age of 8 0r 9) while getting belted by my older bro playing punch buggy.
Where do i start though? What should i look for in a vehicle? I know about the Macpherson struts and how they are pretty much unsuitable for using in a baja. Are there any good books to read about them or any info I can find on the net, particularly when it comes to registering in South Aus.
I look forward to hearing from you all and I can't wait to have a look around at all of these rides you guys and girls have!
Cheers AJ

G'day AJ, welcome to AVD!....(and great to see another fellow South Aussie on here)

I have absolutely no clue when it comes to Bajas...but there are plenty of people on here who have them, build them, break them (no names mentioned  ) I am sure there will be plenty of help to be had from your fellow forum members here mate.....so make yourself at home, set up a thread in the relevant section, and ask away.

All the best,

Scarab (aka: Paul)
