[FS - QLD] 1974 AUTO LPG/Petrol Microbus
She is a 1974 Microbus. I originally bought her as an 8 seater, but when we had the LPG conversion done, we built a deck bed over the gas tank, so she
is now a 5 seater.
The Good:
• She is excellent mechanically – she has a strong 1800 engine, and was serviced last week. She runs like the clappers and is very reliable.
• She is an AUTO.
• She had new heads put on her 18 months ago.
• She can be run on both LPG and Petrol – the gas tank is 95 litres, which is bigger than the one in my LandCruiser. VERY economical way to run a
Kombi!
• All tyres are very good (including spare).
• Interior is damn good and the bed is very comfy.
• Floors have no rust in them.
• She is registered in QLD until August 2010.
• Window seals are all good. (See Extras for details about door seals)
Extras:
• A brand spanking new set of bumper bars – they are already primed, ready for you to paint in your preferred colour, and then put them on.
You’ll note from the photos that her rear one at the moment has a dent in it.
• Two brand new front door seals (left and right) – they are still in their original packaging.
The Not So Good:
• She has a bit of bog on the bottom of the sliding door and on the left hand side of the windscreen (is that called a pillar?). It’s not an
issue, but is a little bit crackled.
• She has some rust in the top back corners – they have had Penetrol put on them, and no further rust in the 2 years since.
• The seal around the sliding door will need to be replaced. It’s seen better days.
• The headliner was cut at the back to see what the rust was like. It has been sprayed black to match the rest of the interior.
• Her paint job is probably a home job. It will never win her any awards, but buffs up OK with polish. Unfortunately, my feral children have added
some dints here and there with bikes and other car doors.
• The rear door is not the original door – the paint around it is a little flaky.
Overall, she is a great, solid bus. She would be great for anyone who wants to use her as a daily driver, or for someone who wanted to put a bit of
time and $$ into doing some metal work on her.
I would like $8,500 for her, and this includes all of the extras mentioned above. I think this is pretty reasonable given that she runs on LPG and is
also ajavascript :email()n Auto, and is mechanically excellent.
If you’d like any photos of particular spots, just let me know.
She is located in Ashgrove, Brisbane (4060). Inspection is welcome and recommended. Please call me on 0407 550 650.
Photos to follow.
Thanks,
Kyra

Right - down to the business - photos! Not sure what's happening with the colour - rest assured, the dash is a dark grey, and the seats and door
cards are a matt black. Think I may have stuffed up with the flash.
Front seats and dash:
No rust under feet at the front:

Underneath is clean and this is the upper right back corner which has been rust treated.
Front door has a few chips in it from my children (who I will discipline at a later date!!). Also, the nice chip in the side of the door was put
there yesterday by some inconsiderate so and so at the local shops!!! Can you believe the luck?!
Think that's about it.

Thanks. I used to be in Sydney, but moved up here 6 years ago.
Yep, I was majorly cranky about that chip - - especially now
that I want to sell her, but that's life.
