Early front quarter window levers


My 70 model notchback has ugly late knobs and i desire early type levers has anyone fitted early to late?

I presume it could be done....
easier to change over the complete 1/4 windows for early ones in good condition..
I can't think why beetle and type 3 would be different latches..

The window channel on the early models quarters is narrower (where the window slides ) than the late models so if you change to the early one be aware of this if you have to replace it. Not sure which year they changed but most likely when the secondary big locker knob was introduced. The quarter seal rubbers are the same on all from memory.
