body removal 1500 swing arm

I've stripped my 1500 and the time has come to lift the body off the chassis. the last 4 bolts under the rear seat remain in place fixing the body the the shockie strut and lower...prior to removing them do i need to brace the gear box? It seems that the drive assembly is held in its level plane with the mentioned 4 bolt locations.

Not if it's a standard VW - undo and lift away
