Which Gearbox EJ22

Just wondering which gearbox has the best ratios for an EJ22 running 17in wheels. Its going in a Kombi but I have no problem fitting a single sideplate Beetle box if that has the best ratios.

If it is going in a bus, then a 2 litre bus box will be a great way to handle the power. Albins gears will make almost any ratio you want. It bolts straight into the bus too.

Or you could actually use the Subaru 5 speed gearbox that was designed and made for the EJ22. No need for fancy Albins gears, custom flywheels and adapter plates. Here's a short video that gives you some idea of how well it goes on the freeway.
