[WTB - NSW] beetle daily driver

Hi all,

Am getting back into volksy's after 10 years without that dak in the back. Have suffered through a number of small, asian, reliable hatches but the need to cruise in a dub again is too strong.

Am looking to buy a bug that is mechanically good to get me to and from work everyday. Ideally the body would be shmick also but am happy to buy one that will need some body work in a few years time. registered, registerable and reliable are my main aims

Am in Sydney and looking to spend max $3000.

mid 60's would be my preference but will happily put my money on the table for any bug that meets my criteria.

Anyone know of any?

Thanks
Mick

Hi Mick,

I've got a 1974 Bug that runs out of rego next month. Needs some body work but mechanically OK. New brakes, wheel bearings, seat belts, tyres in last 12months. Runs well.

Thanks Ian, have messaged Josh.

Paul, that is a sweet, sweet bug but too probably too low (bloody sydney roads!) and thirsty (bloody sydney traffic :grind:) for what i need. would be seriously tempted to stretch the budget (prob not to the $6000 mark though) if it was stock height and engine.

Terryr, can you PM me with photos? where are you located?

have been keeping an eye on carsales and other places but thought I would see if any dub lovers had any that hadn't been advertised through the usual car ad channels. I'm in Ryde, about 4 blocks from Powertune but am never around when they're around.

Would be interested in a sydney aussieveedubber meet. Hopefully I'll be rolling in one by then:tu:

Mick

I have a nice '67 flash beetle. Currently unregistered as of about two weeks but driven daily for about 3 years prior. Certainly registerable, and I'd take $3000.
