911 seats in a late beetle advice needed

Anyone tried putting 911 seats in a late beetle, eg superbug or 76 bug with the 3 point seat runners?
Besides the fact engineering is needed, anyone have any advice on how easy a mod this is, if its not worth the effort, or relatively easy?

Debating with myself whether its worth the cost and effort, versus living with and fixing up the stock beetle seats.
Are the 911 seats more comfy than the stock ones?

Reason I am thinking 911, is that I prefer the look of them over other aftermarket bucket seats and I have a lead on some which are in good condition, ie won't need reupholstering, will only need modification to suit the runners. Whereas my stock seats, one needs a frame repair and will also need re-upholstering.

I've never sat in 911 seats but would be positive they are more comfy than stock seats. IMHO good seats are the best mod you can do as long as your car is running. Just ask yourself, what gets used most when you drive your car!

3 points seats are VERY difficult to set up right

Not sure how your 911 seats would mount but I have Recaros
They sit on a standard Recaro frame square frame that I got out of some sort of Audi. This has the centre slider on it that is the same as VW use - but the 2 legs are slightly different - wider apart
The trouble is the main slider bar needs to move square to the floor pan
This square then had the 2 legs cut off standard VW bas and welded on so as it all ligned up
We then bent up a bit of 5mm x 20mm bar and drilled 3 holes at each end
This bolted to the seat base and then gave some tilt adjustment.

These now use the standard VW adjustment slider.

There is another set up you can use
I believe it is a Scat set up that "Vic" may still sell
It sits in the standard VW floor runners but you take the "pin" bit off the hump and bolt the frame to the hump.
Then intead of the bent 5mm steel a slider is fixed to the seat

The benefit is this sits a couple of mm lower than the way I have done it

Height is your enemy in a 3 point set up

Steve (sick68) has used this setup in his 1303RS green beetle

I can take more pictures of mine if you like
