ScanGaugeII

Hey,is anyone using ScanGaugeII,from the states, with ej25 95-01 sold here.I bought this scanner and cant get it to work in my ej25 Syncro or a standard Liberty and Outback,this vintage.
There is two problem solving solutions in the manual for this model,to support PIDS,that I have tried,but it doesnt connect to the ecu.No go.
It looks like a great piece of kit,that I know others around the world are using on their Subarus,but I dont think for some reason it works on Aussie ejays.
Does anyone know any different.

dohc or sohc?

if it's dohc, are you sure it's a local motor. Mines dohc and it's an import.

Check the Earth wire on your connector..

Checked with a workshop scanner all ok.I am returning it back to supplier.Thanks
