Hi Dave
I remember reading in VW trends or Hot VW's there was a guy in the states that was restoring old Valve wireless's for VW's and others
I will have to dig throught my old copies.
I faintly remember reading about a mob that was making radios that had old facias on them, they were using the old case and upgrading the internals
it was too long ago for me to remember who it was, and they could be out of business now.

Yep, Spindle fit are the one's with knobs.
The new DIN standard is too big to fit in the factory pressed cutout in the dash. My dash is uncut and lasted this long so I don't want to
circumcise now!
I saw a web site about a company that restores original radios from VW, Porsche etc, I just remembered I think I might have saw the link on the Flat 4
( the Japanese VW mob) web site.
Does anyone know the maker and model of original radio options in 1969 Kombis?
Still would like to find an Aussie supplier.

just found it http://www.oldautoradio.com
they are in Spain, they do exchange of old unit if you've got one.
I'm still looking for the maker/model of 1969 Kombi radios
[If you've got a 1973 1303 Superbug the radio options were -
- Wolfsburg (Blaupunkt)
- Emden (Blaupunkt)
- Hannover (I guess also Blaupunkt)
-Inglestadt (I guess also Blaupunkt) ]
