I got a set from Bert3's first run a couple of years ago. Very good although I will still drop the front one more notch.

drop spindle has their stub axle moved up on the spindle, so it effectively lowers the car without any or much alteration to the suspension geometry (
lowered and full travel retained)
Very useful, especially on type 3's as their suspension does not work properly at all when lowered the traditional way.

you cant just modify your spindles at the snap of fingers.. hence the name DROP spindles mean they DROP the SPINDLE.. they mainly drop 2 1/2 inchs
if you guys want to order some i got a guy up on the goldcoast here im pretty sure he has type 3 spindles but ill ring him tomo and find out
if someone is interested

I wouldn't think so. Bert's spindles are highly over engineered. they are cnc billets

you cant just modify your spindles yourself unless you know what you doing. its easier just to buy them
no engineer cert need its just lowering your car..

Type 3 spindles are completely different to beetle, for the record they are a ball joint but completely different to beetle ones.

I thought you said your spindles were going to work with the VWcool brake package? Or have you gone with another setup

yes and no. it can fit but that would require spacing the steering arm a little but I have been advised not to do that by Glenn.
Steering geometry gets f**ked up if you do that.
He can still do brakes for it but they will be based on stock calipers, well which well you know He says they are a huge improvement over bone stock but still I want the brake in which I drive every day and I know
how good they are

The previous posts about the engineereing, you will need to have them engineered weither it is just lowering, they are not a proproiritory part, to
run them legally on the road they would require a deflection test and probably destructive testing, a costly exercise
