WTD - VF30/VF34
Neill or any other nutters likely to have something available.
After a good 2nd hand turbo as described above. Am aiming for the VF34 but if anyone can provide reasons to persuade me into a VF30 also keen.

VF30 is easier to find for a start...
will keep an eye out around here, tho apparently they have a tendancy to crack the housing between wastegate flap and exhaust wheel, just something to
keep in mind

VF34 sounds by all reviews an excellent upgrade, but I've heard that they are not rebuildable like our TD05's.
maybe something to consider?

Gday Jak, yes something to consider. I know nothing about the VF34 other than what you said about it apparently being excellent upgrade.
Is there anything else that can be done to the TD05's?

VF34 for the win 100% I have one on my Liberty. I have never seen one fail todate.
The TD05 16G is a very good turbo, you could swap the rear housing and fit a 20 rear for better power, this is done heaps of time on this turbo.
I may be able to help with a VF35 in a week as its coming off my uncles STI he is 63 S he is fitting some Trust name up grade on. I let you know

Neill, that sounds good, while your at it, let me know if you have any top feed injectors, such as the pink tops etc. I currently have standard inj.
on my 94, dont know what cc they are?

hey boys,
None of the vf turbos are rebuildable i dont think.
Get a new VF34 and it will last years.
If not get a worked td05....they do so much shit to them. gtpumps is one place i think.
Do not waste your time with the vf30 or vf35..neither are ball bearing and not as good as a tdo5.

just find the highest price vf34 & tell the woman for $100 more you can have a muuuch bigger better shinier turbo, they all like big shiny things
right
nah ive decided before i get into bigger turbos a programable ecu would be a wise choice, wait long enough & the borg warner wizz bang thing my
supra owning friend was showing me earlier might be about the same range
