My 1970 beetle Acting a bit sick.

Hi Guys,a little problem with my clemy.
The other day, coming home for lunch from work,my 1970 (clemy) beetle just didn't sound right. It ran fine at high revs but when slowing down to intersections would just start to spit and quietly stall. It happens 3 times each at an intersection. The rest i went through i had to knock it into neutral and than handbrake while keeping the revs up.

To me it sounds like a spark problem, but then at the same time sounds like fuel problem.I have an electronic dizzy, new leads, new carby.i went chasing new plugs today but to no avail, will try again tomorrow. Can anyone think of anything else it could be? just chasing some different opinions.it cant be much.it got me there in the morning.
Thanks Guys.

Try the idle solinoid valve on the side of the carb, the wire could have come of or the coil has gone open circuit

tested the idle solenoid and its all good.getting power there.must be the jets.is there a way to like blow the jets out?
not real sure on pulling it apart.my fuel is running low and there is no inline fuel filter so i am thinking it maybe picked up a bit of s*@t.

Get spark plugs from VW parts shops....
BERU BOSCH or NGK..

sounds like the idle jet is blocking up....
this is common with new carburetors.... [so I've read]

they aren't cleaned out properly after drilling...??
