What a great picture. I can't imagine doing a trial run on tyres like that!!
Is that a fuel filler in the back window? An what's the point of the screen on the front of a VW?

We fitted heaps of those bug screens on beetles and type 3's back in the mid/late 60's they also stopped the occasional stone flying up into the
screen.When they were new they didn't look like they were beaten around with the ugly stick.

I have an original one on my 62 bug, the car came from the country and has original paint. There is an outline of stone chips on the front where the
screen doesn't cover,..
