Hey timtulip, i did see you car on ebay though i didnt like the dash, i do like it original. Though love the suicide doors.

But im afraid of trying to get a blue slip and taking it to the pits where they'll go over it with tooth comb. NSW for you.

I know this cause i bought a 1 month old Harley from SA and had so much hassle trying to register it in NSW

Hellbugged i do have a budget of 4k though if some1 is asking 5k or 6k and the amount of work on it is worth , let's say 10k , i will fork out another k for it.

I've only seen 1 on ebay where i missed out cause i was being hesitant, cause i just started to look at beetles.

why pre 64?????

64 model beetles in Australia are virtually identical to 1967 beetles... apart from 1300 engine...

so a 63 beetle looks like a 67 beetle etc...

the Big change in beetles in 1968 in Australia....
12 volt 1500 engine disc brakes flat headlamps
larger glass... etc...

hey Lee , i must say im abit anal and specific about small things which probably shouldn't matter like the bars , the plastic nobs on the dash and the lights. But i might get use to it and realise that they're probably a better car... hehehe
