Refitting of Intake manifold


I have a 1300cc SP type 1 motor that I will re- install the inlet manifold to, my question is when installing the collapsible washers do you apply any sealant?
Also do you add lock washers to the nuts to keep the manifold tight?

make sure u get the old gasket out as well

sometimes they stick in the cavity
