Newton Carpet Kits
Anybody had any experience with Newton Carpet Kits ?
Looks to be really good quality, specially the Narrow Weave carpet.
Does anybody now if they will fit a '71 super, only has options for a "Saloon" which i assume is a sedan, and a Cabrio.

Rang the local supplier today, wasnt much help
Asked if the kits fit a Superbug or just a standard, replied with he cant see there being any difference with the shape of the floor pan and such, so
both..
I asked him if the carpets they have fit with the Footrests still in place, i asked this as the manufacturer site from the UK states "When ordering
tell us 1) Does your car still have a passenger side footrest plate in front of the bulkhead? 2)Is there a tin plate plate behind the drivers pedals?
"
Simple question, yes I have both and would like to keep it that way
He was quite blunt with me saying "How would i know what they have on there site?"
He followed with "I cant tell you anything without one of our product numbers, we have 19 kits available"
I ended the conversation there as I asked him initially because their site doesnt detail or distinguish between one another, only by year and not even
by colour...
If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. Or any advice on carpet kits from CVD ? Same questions as aboth, quality? prefer not to go with
them tho as i recieved parts i ordered 5 weeks ago today, and bits n pieces are missing which i specifically asked him if he was putting them in and
for a overall price. Same price minus parts... Now have to wait till the 2nd to ring him.
Im really not having much luck lately ...

hI
it does look like the 70-72 does fit the plates behind the pedals and the plate on the LH side...
The major difference is that the heater outlets are different on different models... 1968- ?? 71..
but I would also presume that NON supers and Supers 1302 could be different in 1971.??? maybe Not..
I know that the seat mountings also changed on the 1303 later Supers..
but may be all the same for Your model.. [1302] in 1970-72...
being the year made and NOT the VW model year..
1971 1302 Supers were made from 31st July 1970 till 1st August 1971 [VW year model..]
Good looking carpet..
cheers

I would suggest order from newtons but include photos of your setup so they can see the exact type.
