You will find a small leaf spring on the tunnel side runner which must be depressed to allow the seat to slide forward off the runners. The same on
all type 3s except the 1973 3 point mounts.

Also, use inox on the runners, leave them over night if you can. Mine came off surprisingly well with this treatment.
