build your own , you will be hard pressed to find a car you 100% like.
the way I'd do it if I didnt have the time to build my own is buy the best cond regoed bug in the year i wanted then bolt all the good gear on , that way you get brakes gearbox n engine how you want it . money for decent parts adds up quick gotta be realistic.

they are a bottemless pitt doing it yourself........... done a few projects myself. . . . . being beaten by a vw beetle whilst driving a 200sx with quite a few mods is enough to make a convert out of me. hence the reason "I wan't one"

Come on DOKA Dave. Give him a break. I have a mate with a Rex engine in his yet to get on the road beetle with a proposed 500+ rwhp......The fact is he wants a beetle that kicks ricer butt.

A good move I reckon.

I have built enough volksies that can out run many V8's on the street, that part is easy, finding a complete car that you like is another story.

What about that hot 54 that was advertised here a while back? Someone will know it, or do a search, VERY nice car for around 20k, or Debassy(sp) turbo from Adelaide???

and the nm's for good measure

graphs split in half because of retarded uploader size limits, barely fits in 2 parts.
is that enough to satisfy the alleged false claims of output?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5E4II0nntA&playnext=1&list=PLA66D14BEB52F1558

It subsequently made 530kw atw and was street driven.

His wrx has 411kw atw too :tu:

My posts were removed for being 'negative' after I questioned some highly optomistic claims and ascertians about power output of a certain new forum members vehicle. I was not contacted by the moderators explaining any of this, nor has MickH replied my pm's or emails.

I provided 3 links to the relevant forums and other sites backing up my statements with factual evidence and dyno graphs, showing the amount of modifications needed, and expense involved, (by the guys who are actually building these cars) to even get close to these figures disputed by myself, and the dreamers who decided to challenge what I said. (Not many people seem to give a f#*k about actual facts on this site, they prefer to make outrageous claims which almost always start with 'my mate did this etc..)

So from now on I won't be wasting any more time trying to help out other VW guys or engage in VW discussions on here. My life's too short to have these protracted debates with people I've never even met. I'll go back to the shed and spend more time working on cars, and leave the bullshi#*ers and dreamers to crap on to each other. So feel free to make as many unsubstantiated comments as you like, I don't give a flying f#*k anymore.
