Test alternator out of car?


Can anybody out there please tell me if it is posible to test alternator out put with the engine (and alternator of course) OUT OF THE CAR and not hooked up to a charging circuit?

yep it can be done at the local Auto electrician

they have a test bench that can spin the motor up to check the output

well worth a coule of bucks to test

rather than fitting and removing if no good
