Boxter wheels for notch, do they fit?

Does anyone know whether 8 or 8.5 x 17 Boxter wheels would fit on the back of a 1970 notch?

Cheers,

Patrick

Thanks for that (edited my profile...)

I saw a notch with Boxter wheels in the forum ( http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=71635  ), so did the stud pattern change?

I am slightly confused (still new to all the forum/tech talk thingy) so the Porsche wheels might fit? John is another forum member from the coast?

Thanks

can be made to fit by drilling/tapping the drums to suit (nah)
gettin a wheel adapter (not legal in qld i believe )
or see John Sherman google him (member ) who does conversions on the G/Coast for vw's like.... NEW drums/rotors etc in the reqd stud pattern

blank discs and drums can be drilled to suit the stud pattern
but those wheels won't fit in the arse of ya notch... not that wide and tall anyway - without tubbing...!

cheers ben

Try earlier 1997 16" Boxster wheels

they have a better offset

16" x 6" x ET50
and
16" x 7" x ET40

You'll find it hard to fit anything more than 6 wide without rubbing. I think the question is will boxster wheels look good?
My advice on Porsche wheels, something period like ats cookies or Fuchs
As far as modern Porsche wheels go have a look for D90s - they can look great on notchies
