The boys in blue
just thought i would let you all knows the the police do come up trumps .. i had my car stolen on tuesday night from down the workshop(only had a full
repaint 3 weeks back). we reported it missing at 8.30 wensday morning, by 9.30 they had found the car and by 1 pm they had the little bastard in the
cells and charged him. all in all i have been very lucky.. only slight damage to the paint work nothing a morning in the booth will not sort out....
we all hear of cars going missing and people complaining the the police dont seem that intrested in finding them.. well.. they did the job this
time... i thought i had lost my car for good.. but she is back at the yard (with extra locks in place ).. what pissed me of the most was
...1 i haven't even got to drive the car yet as its not quite finished and now some little bastard has had the pleasure i haven't!
... 2 that the shit that stole it just wanted a car to hack around the bloody bush!!! .. i have spent a whole load of time doing this car and he
wanted a bush basher???
oh well its put the finish date back a week or two.. not so bad really... ...

I had my car stolen in 1998, That was my RX7 I got it back 3 days later, minus $4800 worth of A8 leather RECAROS my brand new cd player my electronic
ignition and my Brand new big ass battery that I finally gave in and bought the day before.
I had even welded the Bolts that mounted the recaros to deter theft but when I got the car back it just had fist size hloes cut in the floor where
they just cut the seats out. and they dmashed the door windows and dinged the front.
I could never get interested in the car after that and sold what was left to My brother, who did it up again for his girlfriend,
The hatred for the thieves takes a good while to subside but I would still go nuts if I saw a car with my leather recaros in it.
Cheers Tony

I had my Sweet little Red 64 Beetle stolen from Bondi in 1993, I got a call from the cops 4 weeks later," Your car is abandoned in the Cross when
I went to pick it up, I found it in Broughton street parked on the wrong side of the road with the windows open, full of trash and to top it off about
4 parking fines on the window. It had been there the whole 4 weeks ...The Cops screwed that one up.........Apart from a busted nose The damage was
mainly underneath as they had repeatedly bottomed out the poor little bug. My Guess is Joy riders and probably 5 of them

Dead set scums!
I had my 64 EH Holden stolen when I was 19 years old, I spent every cent I earned on that car, and every bit of spare time working on restoring it,
and it wasen't insured, I never saw it again.
But there was one good thing that came out of it, I became the proud owner of a 65 Beetle, and I have had Volksie's ever since!

My girlfriends car is sitting outside, still has fingerprint dust all over, no decent prints were found.
Crappy stereo gone, $180 discman i brought her gone, battery gone, ignition leads gone, ignition barrel smashed and the whole car is covered in dirt
and grass from doing burnouts in a field somewhere.
Turned up 3 streets from where it was stolen 3 weeks after it was takena nd 1 week after she spent $9k on a new car.
Plus it was only insured TPPD so she doesnt get any $$..
You were very lucky and one of the very very rare cases Dubcrazy

Glad to see you got your ride back. Me not so lucky.
1. 1963 beetle new engine weeks old stolen from railway station. Insured got $600 back but not the car.
2 XD falcon stolen from shopping centre carpark found that one in a ditch with a smashed transmission insured but cost $1000 to get fixed due to age
of car.
3 My then pride and joy V8 HZ 1 tonner with tipper body stolen from winternationals never returned (police wathed it drive out as he lit up the
tyres).
Now have a diesel toyota hilux with 300,000 km on the clock if they want it they can have it.
my '69 beetle never park it where I can't see it. once bitten and all that

Thieves stole XD falcon?
Thieves stole XD falcon?
just goes to show theres no dignity between thieves.
Imagine the shame of it all, two thieves in jail, "what are you in for?" one says,
"Grand theft auto" says the other
"I stole an XD Falcon" he tells his cell mate.
"EEEEUWWWW! Get away from me you sick bastard" says the other theif.
It just goes to show how hard up they were for a car!

Make sure you give the car a really good once over, then take out a private claim against him in the small claims court for all your time and booth
work at full retail. Even if he has no money any judgement against him and a garnish on whatever income the little turd gets over the next ten years
will do more good than the slap and tickle the Juvvy system or the courts (if hes an adult) will.
I see little b@$tards like this at work all the time trying to use their token excuses to prove (it not my fault I got pissed/stoned/gee'd up and
decided to take your car for 856 donuts, in fact its your fault for having such a nice car and making me feel inadequate in the first place so you
actually owe me for the stress you cause me for putting effort into your life and getting somewhere.... :cussing:cussing:cussing
I had a bright red TA22 74 red celica as a fist car that got nicked soo many times I put a 12 sec ignition cutout on it so they could drive for 12
seconds and then it stopped. Got lots of calls from the police etc 'your car was left in the middle of xyz street with the doors open '
Caught a little turd one night and gave him to the coppers, the funny thing was the copper said 'I dont know why you gave him to us he will get
away with it AGAIN, you should have just given him a flogging" But that would have been bad karma.....
Sigh |

engines being droped out today when i can get of my ass and go down the yard...when we found the car there was loads of tire marks just going round
and round and round ..grrrrrrrrrrrrrr i am guessing it has been thrashed with in an inch of its life... the little shit went up in court yesterday
and was found guilty(had a few other charges to)i have hit him up for the cost(retail) of the paint work and have put in for a new long block... i
mite as well try to get what i can out of the little shit, and for all i knows when i crack open the engine it mite be twated... its leaking oil now
from the sump plate(that has a big ding in it) and the rocker covers.. it was a sweet runner with just a very slight weep of oil from one of the push
rob tubes... i haven't started it yet but there is already a puddle of the black stuff under the old girl..... BASTARD!!!! |

make sure you take lotsa piccies, the tyre marks, the pool of oil, the fresh dents, the bruises (oops, wrong list ) everything you can see to prove what he owes. By the time I got the turd
to court he claimed I had made it all up, he was miss-undie-stood and I was trying to blame him for a blown engine that was the reason he only got 12
sec down the road (at redline)
