Beetle seats question

How tough are the police/trans dept usually around bucket seats being fitted to an older Beetle eg 56 model, they would be mounted using the original Beetle tracks/runners . They are not originally Beetle seats but out of an older Alpha and were fitted to a 68 Beetle previously. I live in Queensland and have no mod plate etc for this not sure if I need one. It doesnt seem like a big deal to me but thought you guys would know if it is ?. Thanks

the higher chance is having an accident then your insurance company will just wipe their hands and walk away if you have a mod thats not approved.

Mod plates are through a mechanical engineer right? Do you know of many dramas people have had with getting this sort of thing approved/mod plated if fitted correctly?

it all depends on how well they are mounted and if the engineer is happy with how they are mounted.
im in nsw so its a completely different system
